Any wedding speech can be wonderful if we tend or at least try to follow creative tips. In this article, we intend to present 3 creative father of the groom speech tips so that you can use these tips for your own speech and truly feel like your speech is something unique.
1) Learn from books
During a lifetime, people read lots of books. Some books are truly rubbish and worth not reading, but we often can’t realize these things, at least not until we are finished reading. On the other hand, some books are amazing and captivating and we feel like reading them again and again. Among these books, we can find breathtaking stories of romance, relationships and many other life situations that we can easily identify with.
These are the books that you can easily learn from. Although some writers are eccentrically unique, leaving us unable to agree with their experiences and opinions, other writers captivate with the simplicity and depth of the truths they write about. As there are only a few movies without a romance story, there are few books without a romance story. Try reading some books and learn from them. Of course, you wouldn’t want to keep reading books about crimes and other things like that. On the other hand romance stories, books about the lives of people – those could be of great help!
2) Make use of love poems
Love poems are truly amazing, especially the ones that describe romance in unique ways, ways that can easily make you feel like your heart is melting while you are reading the poem. Love poems are sometimes written by great and well-known writers, while other times amateurs, ordinary people – just like you and I – write some poems and it is quite common for these nameless writers to produce superior quality and expressiveness in their poems.
Poems have metaphors and metaphors have a unique way of communicating feelings, of giving away emotions and presenting thoughts in a way you couldn’t have possibly imagined before.
Also, it is a matter of how poems seem to be nobler and more gracious, presenting realities and true feelings by playing with words and ideas.
3) Inspiration from movies of many types
We often watch movies, hang out with our best friends, families or go to cinemas. Why don’t we choose to always have double benefits out of such situations? The 90 or 120 minutes of a movie, plus the commercials, will be taken away from your life anyway. However, during those hours you can learn things, you can find new sources of inspiration.
If we try turning to reality for just a bit, we suddenly realize that our daily activities include dozens or hundreds of movies. Some of them play for 2 minutes, others for 20 minutes and there can be a lot of them playing at the same time. It’s just our brains, it’s just our lifestyles to stop us from seeing into the messages of these reality-movies (if we could name them like that).
Luckily, when we dedicate a couple of hours to simply watching movies, we tend to become a lot better in observing realities. You have certainly had some moments of revelation while watching movies, feeling like a situation in the movie was exactly something that already happened to you. Or – possibly more frequently – you could identify with one of the characters in the movie.
Now, it’s simply a matter of observation to understand hidden messages and realities from movies and then be able to include these things adequately into your father of the groom speech. People really appreciate deep truths and we have lots of movies with deep truths within!
